HUB OPERATIONS AT NETFLIX
The heartbeat of Netflix’s quick delivery promise to members resides in the 41 hubs / distribution centers where over one million DVDs are sent out daily. The amazing speed with which our Operations Associates check DVDs for quality, and process the DVD mailers, means our customers receive working DVDs for their entertainment enjoyment on time. The entire Operations team ensures rapid processing of DVDs and makes sure the promises we make to customers are honored.
THE POSITION
The Netflix Hub Operations Associate directly impacts the success of the company by accurately processing DVD we receive from our customers and then by ensuring we provide correct and playable DVDs to our customers in a consistent manner. This is a temp to regular position, with an excellent benefits package available upon conversion to a regular Netflix employee.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Hub Operations Associate processes DVDs received from and sent to our customers to make sure the DVD is in good shape and in the correctly-labeled DVD description sleeve.
- Processing received mail from the post office (tearing open mailers, inspecting DVDs)
- Visually inspecting DVDs to detect scratches, dents, breakage, as well as to make sure the right DVD is in the correct protective sleeve
- Placing DVDs in mailers for shipment to customers
QUALIFICATIONS
- A commitment to maintaining a perfect attendance record
- Willingness to work overtime to meet production goals
- Attention to accuracy along with speed in a consistent manner
- Ability to communicate with management and fellow employees
- Desire to exceed stated production goals Previous experience in a production, assembly and/or fast food production environment preferred
- The ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- High School diploma or equivalent
Location : Melville
Pay:
first 60 days 9.75/hours
After 60 (if converted to Netflix staff $10.25)
Hours of work : 10hours per week
